The AgroServ project is thrilled to announce a significant update for our ongoing 5th Call for projects in our Transnational/Virtual Access Programme. To accommodate the high volume of interest and the integration of new access options, the application deadline has been officially extended to 22 June 2026, at 16:00 (CEST).
AgroServ's 5th Open Call offers researchers, professionals, and stakeholders access to transnational scientific data, specialised expertise, experimental sites, advanced technologies, and laboratories across Europe. The TA/VA Programme promotes essential collaboration among experts in chemistry, biology, agronomy, ecology, bioengineering, social sciences, and economics to foster innovative approaches in agroecology and sustainable agriculture.
What is New in the 5th Call?
- Single-RI Applications: with Call #5, applicants are now able to request access to services from a single Research Infrastructure (RI). This allows proposals to be more specifically tailored to individual research needs.
- Mandatory technical feasibility confirmation: to ensure the feasibility of the projects and their scientific quality, access is granted on the basis of scientific excellence through a rigorous application procedure. A technical feasibility confirmation is mandatory for your proposal to proceed to the evaluation stage. The selected facility confirms the technical feasibility of the planned work or supports the applicant in developing a feasible plan for use of the requested service.
Expanded Imaging Capabilities: we are proudly highlighting the integration of capabilities from Euro-BioImaging, the European landmark research infrastructure for biological and biomedical imaging. Euro-BioImaging is coordinating and providing open access to a portfolio of cutting-edge Biological and Biomedical imaging services through 9 Euro-BioImaging Nodes across Europe and new services are available in this fifth AgroServ call – you can filter the Catalogue of services by Research Infrastructures to find all services from one RI!
Maintaining Our Core Mission
While it will now be possible to tailor applications to focus on specific services within one Research Infrastructure, projects must still clearly demonstrate their contribution to the agroecology transition. Furthermore, AgroServ remains dedicated to integrating services across Europe, and transdisciplinary projects involving multiple RIs will continue to be encouraged to maximise scientific integration and research impact across Europe.
How to Apply
We strongly encourage researchers from both academia and industry to begin by exploring the AgroServ Catalogue to identify relevant services and design their project accordingly by reaching out to service providers via e-mail, an initial step in the mandatory feasibility check required to submit your application.
Do not miss this opportunity to advance your research and work towards a sustainable and resilient agroecological transition. Ensure your final proposal, complete with the mandatory technical feasibility confirmation, is submitted before the new extended deadline.
