The winter issue of AgroServ Chronicles shines a spotlight on two innovative projects funded through AgroServ's 1st Call for proposals:
- BioTechAPS - Novel Biodiversity assessment Technologies for determination of Arthropods and Pollinators in Sunflowers:
led by Dr. Vid Švara, this project employs eDNA metabarcoding to study biodiversity in drought-resistant sunflowers. By combining conventional sampling with advanced molecular technologies, BioTechAPS aims to promote biodiversity and secure healthy food resources. - Ancient Grains, Modern Solutions - Valorization of Emmer wheat by co-designing healthy foods from organic agriculture:
PhD researcher Alberto Akiki's project focuses on the sustainability of emmer wheat in Central Italy. By leveraging AgroServ's nutritional analysis and prototyping tools, the project seeks to valorize emmer wheat and inspire sustainable development.
